SS BARRACKS
The SS housed in two barracks at the western border of the camp, along the "Kurt Seidel Street". A large concrete tower in the middle was used for storing the weapons, and as a bathroom.

SS RELAXING AREA
Besides the SS barracks a "coffee garden" was established. Straw umbrellas protected the SS men from the sun.

UKRAINIAN BARRACKS
Ukrainian living area. The kitchen and two barracks. On the right side a barrack which purpose is still unknown. Between this barrack and the kitchen the large potatoe mound is visible. Clothes are drying in the sun. The Ukrainian "Trawnikis" built a football field in this area.

VEGETABLE GARDEN
At the north east corner of the camp the SS installed a vegetable garden. The prisoners who worked here, were guarded by Ukrainians on the watchtower. Here most of the escapees broke through the fence when the big Treblinka uprising happened.

"HOLZPLATZ"
Near the vegetable garden the "Holzplatz" (Holz = wood, Platz = place) was located. Here the special camouflage command cutted the woods and trimmed the pine branches which were used for camouflaging the camp fences. Also preparation of firewood.

THE ZOO
Between the Ukrainian barracks and the "ghetto" the "zoo" was located. The cages were within a relaxing area with benches. On top of the roof some cages for pigeons were installed.

PETROL STATION
The petrol station was located between the SS barracks and the station square. A large petrol tank dominated the site. This tank was set on fire during the revolt. On the right the construction site for the new bakery is visible.

FARMYARD AND GHETTO
Besides the "ghetto" a farmyard was installed. Here the SS kept pigs and chicken.

THE "GHETTO"
The "ghetto" consisted of two large barracks where the Jewish special command housed. Besides the sleeping rooms some workshops were installed. The "ghetto" was locked during the night.

ROLLCALL SQUARE
The rollcall square was located besides the "ghetto" barracks. A latrine was installed in the south east corner of the square. This square was very close to the "Schlauch", only separated by a narrow path for the SS.

TRAIN ENTRANCE GATE
Special gate for the trains, camouflaged with pine branches. In the background you can see the station square, the sorting barracks and the sorting square.

STATION #1
The platform and the fake station (sorting barracks). Large heaps of suitcases and clothes behind the sorting barracks. In the backround the "upper camp" is visible.

STATION #2
Up to 20 wagons were pushed to the ramp. A fake clock and several signs were painted on the walls of the sorting barracks, to simulate a real station. In the background the large heap of suitcases is visible.

UNDRESSING SQUARE
From the station square the victims entered the undressing square, which was located between two large barracks. The men had to go to the right, women and children were ordered to enter the undressing barrack on the left. The men had to put down the suitcases and undress in the open air. Members of the special command had to carry the suitcases to the sorting square besides this area.

SORTING PLACE
The belongings of the murdered victims were brought to the sorting place. The sorting command was ordered to put down the clothes in different heaps, cotton, wool etc. In the background the "Lazarett" is visible. Here the SS shot old and handicapped persons.

THE "LAZARETT"
Here, in this fake Red Cross station, old and handicapped people were shot. They were brought from the ramp to the "Lazarett", then they had to undress and kneel down at the permanently burning pit for being shot in the neck.

SORTING BARRACKS
Here the belongings of the victims were sorted and entrained, back to the sorting camp "Flugplatz" in Lublin. Their walls which faced the fake station, looked like a station. Jews had to add a clock, several signs, painted windows and flowers so that the arrivals thought they were at a real station.

OLD GAS CHAMBERS
Behind the old gas chambers (3 Gas chambers) you can see a watchtower, a guard house, two excavators and the pits. On the right the fenced-in Sonderkommando barrack area is visible.

CREMATION AREA
The new gas chambers are on the right. From there the bodies were carried to the grates, which consisted of railway rails. The bodies were piled up on the grates and burned. The remnants were searched for gold and other valuables. Finally the ashes were shovelled into the pits.
