Chelmno "Castle"

Last Update 4 December 2005

The Nazis chose an empty manor house in Chelmno (called the "Castle") for extermination purposes. Several other buildings of the former estate were located within a 2.5 - 3 m high wooden fence and densely planted trees. The "castle" was blewn up by the SS on 7 April 1943. The granary is still visible today.
